Soul Stories: Images that Speak: An Online Workshop

from $15.00

This is now a self-paced workshop, and links to recorded videos will be emailed after purchase.

Take a deep dive into image making and discover the stories you’ve been longing to tell. Use a simple intuitive method of cutting and gluing magazine images to discover what speaks to you as you connect with the stories that are waiting to burst out. Spend the day immersed in the magic of the collage and tap into the stories of your soul.

We will meet live on Zoom for this all-day workshop, but it will be recorded for anyone who cannot make the live session.

This is pay-what-you-can workshop, so please select what you would like to pay below. Once you pay, I will email you with links and a password to the archived videos, typically within 24 hrs of purchase. This will be a separate email that I send out personally, and it is different from the order confirmation that you will receive automatically after purchase.

Materials:

  • Magazines - Have a variety of magazines, especially ones that are very different, so that you have a wide variety of images to choose from.

  • Backer Paper/ Board - 3.5in x 5in, 4in x 6in, 5in x 7in, or 6in x 8in paper. Mixed media paper like Strathmore 400 series mixed media paper will work, but card stock or unlined index cards will work well as. If you want something thicker, illustration or mat board can be used.

  • Glue or adhesive - You’ll need a glue of course, and your typical white glue will work, thought the high water content will leave the paper wrinkly and wavy. I prefer glue stick, especially UHU Glue Stic, but I also like using Yes Paste. If you’ll be using the paste, have a paintbrush so you can spread the glue.

  • Scissors

  • Hobby Knife
